Mounting tool kits
Mounting bearings and bushings without damage
In cold mounting of smaller bearings, bushings and seal rings, the decisive question is which ring the mounting force acts on. If the force passes through the rolling elements from the inner to the outer ring, indentations form on the raceways that can never be removed — the bearing becomes audible and runs hot after only a few operating hours.
A mounting kit prevents this. Impact rings of various diameters bear precisely on the ring being fitted, while the sleeve transmits the force axially and evenly around the full circumference. The set is arranged in a case with a foam insert, allowing the right ring to be selected quickly and the completeness of the kit to be checked at a glance.
Kit contents and applications
- impact rings covering a wide diameter range,
- impact sleeve with a handle,
- intermediate rings for seal rings,
- foam insert with marked positions,
- mounting of rolling bearings,
- fitting of plain bushings,
- mounting of radial shaft seals,
- service work in the field.
Mounting kit in a carrying case
The case holds graduated impact rings, intermediate rings and an impact sleeve with a handle. The ring is chosen according to the diameter of the component being fitted, and the sleeve distributes the blow around the full circumference of the ring.
Because the whole kit travels in a single case, it also suits service work in the field — precisely where improvised tools most often damage components.

Advantages of a mounting kit
- force acts only on the ring being fitted,
- no indentations on the raceways,
- the blow is distributed evenly around the circumference,
- one kit covers a wide range of diameters,
- clear foam insert for checking completeness,
- suitable for the workshop and for field service.
