O-Rings

Seals are seals with a circular cross-section, designed for static or dynamic sealing of liquids and gases. They operate on the principle of elastic deformation of the cross-section in the installation space, which creates an impermeable barrier in the presence of system pressure. Due to their symmetrical shape, they seal in both axial and radial directions. The choice of material is critical to ensure compatibility with the medium and temperature range; commonly used materials include NBR, FKM/Viton (high temperatures and chemicals), EPDM (hot water, steam), and VMQ/Silicone (wide temperature range). They are standardized according to international standards such as ISO 3601 and DIN 3771.
