Seals for Final Damping
End-of-stroke seals are specialized elements in pneumatic cylinders designed to slow down the piston before reaching the final position. At the end of the stroke, they close the primary air outlet, forcing the medium through the silencer valve, creating an air cushion and preventing mechanical impact of the piston against the cylinder cover. When moving in the opposite direction, the sealing lip retracts, allowing for rapid airflow for smooth starting. They are made from high-performance polyurethane (PU) or NBR elastomers, which provide high resistance to dynamic loads while maintaining flexibility for precise sealing at various operating speeds.
