Nilos Seals

NILOS seals are specialized sealing elements designed to protect rolling bearings from the ingress of contaminants and the leakage of lubricants in demanding operating conditions. Unlike traditional rubber seals, NILOS rings are made of spring steel or galvanized sheet metal. They operate on the principle of 'insertion' of the sealing edge into the bearing ring, where they gradually create an exceptionally narrow labyrinth gap with minimal friction. Due to their metal construction, they are resistant to high temperatures, chemicals, and mechanical impacts. They are available in various designs, such as types AV and JV (for sealing the outer or inner ring) and LSTO (for extremely contaminated environments with a steel labyrinth construction).
