Lamellar Seals

The FEY sealing rings are specialized lamellar seals designed based on the principle of labyrinth sealing using multiple steel rings. Unlike elastomeric seals, FEY rings rely on the elasticity of steel and the creation of narrow gaps that prevent the ingress of contaminants (dust, sand) and the egress of lubricants. Due to their metal construction, they are suitable for extreme conditions where conventional seals would fail – particularly at high temperatures (even above 400 °C), high peripheral speeds, and heavy dirt. They are used for sealing bearing locations on rollers in the steel industry, in exhaust systems, in foundry machines, and in agricultural machinery. They are available as single or double lamellar rings, which can be installed either on the shaft or in the housing.
