Braided Seals

Braids are high-performance sealing elements made using the technology of intertwining threads from technical fibers, ensuring sealing in sealing sleeves. They are used for sealing pump shafts, mixers, refiners, and spindle valves in the most demanding industrial environments. Unlike standard cords, these braids are designed for extreme loads, where they must simultaneously provide low friction, high thermal conductivity, and chemical resistance. The most modern designs combine materials such as GFO (graphitized PTFE), pure graphite with Inconel reinforcement, aramid fibers (for abrasive media), or carbon fibers. Their structure allows for even pressure distribution across the entire contact surface, extending the lifespan of the shaft and reducing maintenance costs.
