Disc and Wave Springs

Disc springs according to standard DIN 2093 are conical-shaped elements similar to washers that act as springs under axial loads. Their main advantage is the ability to develop extremely large forces with very small displacements, which distinguishes them from classical helical springs. They are made from high-quality spring steel, and their geometry allows for precise prediction of bending and force.

The special feature of disc springs is the ability to stack them in pairs, which adjusts the spring characteristic. If stacked in the same direction (parallel), the forces add up, while sequential stacking (springs turned against each other) increases the total travel. Due to their robustness and long service life, they are indispensable in bearing assembly.
