Drive Chains
Drive chains according to standards DIN 8187 (European series) and DIN 8188 (American series) are key elements for transmitting high torque at lower speeds and over greater distances between shafts. Their construction is based on precisely manufactured rollers, bushes, and pins that provide a rigid yet flexible joint capable of transmitting large tensile loads without slipping. While the European series (markings from 04B to 48B) dominates our market due to the specific geometry of the links, the American series (ANSI markings from 25 to 240) offers different dimensions of pins and pitches, which is crucial for maintaining foreign-made machines. They are made from highly alloyed steels that are heat-treated to increase surface hardness and wear resistance, and are available in single-row (simplex), double-row (duplex), or triple-row (triplex) configurations.
