Wedge Belts
Wedge belts are a standard element in industrial drive systems, where the transmission of torque is carried out through friction on the lateral surfaces of the belt. Their specific trapezoidal shape ensures self-centering in the pulley, allowing for stable torque transmission. They are constructed from high-quality elastomer blends, reinforced with tensile inserts made of polyester, aramid, or steel, which prevents stretching and ensures a long service life.
Basically, we distinguish between classic wedge belts used for general loads in industry and agriculture, and narrow-profile versions that allow for the transmission of significantly higher powers in more compact drives due to their geometry. For applications requiring the use of smaller pulleys, toothed wedge belts are available, providing greater flexibility and better heat dissipation during operation. All belts are manufactured according to international standards, are resistant to oils and heat, and ensure antistatic properties according to ISO 1813, allowing for safe use even in more demanding working environments.
