Cylindrical roller bearings
Cylindrical roller bearings use rolling elements that provide a larger contact surface and thus high load capacity for radial loads. Due to their design, they also allow relatively high rotational speeds and good stiffness of the bearing assembly. In certain designs, they also allow axial displacement of the shaft relative to the housing, which is important for compensating thermal expansion. They are often used in electric motors, gearboxes, pumps, compressors, and other industrial applications.
